Convincing parents that he's not a psycho?

how can I convince my parents that he can be my boyfriend, even if it is kind of long-distance? like, we met over myspace, YES I KNOW, I think that kind of stuff is stupid, lol no offense, but yeah…

and I really do think im I nlove with him, but I really really really need to see him in person, and like, I don’t know just be WITH him, you know? but I cant do that unless I can convince my parents that hes not some physcotic rapist. lol.

&& I KNOW hes not. his mom and sister know about me & stuff, im just scared to tell my parents, they aren’t keen on these kinds of things. but im just DYING to see him. I cant take it.

what should I do? Please dont lecture me about internet safety, I already know. and I assure you hes not an actual rapist. (: Thanks!

If you know everything there is to know about internet safety, you’d know that it’s not easy to tell when someone’s sincere or faking. Real predators are good at lying, and it’s easy to be fooled, especially if you think you’re in love.

The thin is, you can’t convince your parents- they are older and have years of experience on you. You’re young, and they want to protect you. You’re lucky to have parents who care so much.

I recommend forgetting this guy and seeing boys you can actually see in person. Ones you can spend time with in person, and actually know what they are really like.
