How to convince your mom to let you use a hair straightener?

She doesn’t let you ? Maybe find out why she isn’t let you & prove her wrong. Show her you can be careful with it, you won’t burn yourself/others/objects & you’ll remember to turn it off, & to use heat protectant spray on your hair.

I’m not allowed to use a straightner either but if i use it rarely its fine because ur mom thinks its unheathy to use heat on ur hair which actually it is. Things have been getting worse and worse, the chemicals they use to make the product can 1 day be 1 cause 4 a certain Cancer if not already. Just tell ur mom u know she cares about u and ur glad about it but 1 day u will be straighting ur hair wihtout her consent like @ a friends house so say her decision is fine but thts just putting u down

You can also buy pads to place under the straightener to so it wont burn anything and is less likely to catch anything on fire. That was my moms big thing when I first got a straighter, I always thought it was silly but she worried so I got one.

That is what I thought was the real issue as well. My parents wouldn’t let me use hair dye until i was in high school because she said it would ruin my hair and it does :) I’ve serially dyed it every color of the rainbow now lol

i dont know why she wont let me…she said she doesn’t want me to use electronical stuff on my hair…but its just hair, its not like its my slean!!! :PPPP
