Convincing mom to let me dye my hair

any ideas on how to convince my mom to let me dye my hair black? She thinks I have too much going on with piercings and what not, so I’m trying to persuade her, any ideas?

Answer #1

lol hmm tell her it looks nice on you…and it would give everyone a change :) thats what I told my mom and she agreed

Answer #2

well, I just dont think it would be worth it, because she would probably take away my piercings and phone and blah blah :/

Answer #3

maybe if you just went an did it… maybe she wouldnt mind when she saw. or would you get in trouble?

Answer #4

Answer #5

I would just die it… because what is she going to do…ground you… or just die it back herself?

Answer #6

once you go black…you cant go back. seriously. …I have a lot of expierence with hair coloring… just make sure that this is how your going to want your hair to look for a verryyy long time… because after black…to get your hair lighter again (if your a blonde/lighter brunette)… expect some nasty shades of red/copper. …even brown. …my friend use to have black hair… and she managed to get a dark brown shade back… but I don’t know.

black hair is such an over-statement. especially if you have a lot of facial piercings like you mentioned. it will just look like your trying to hard.

…I have 21 piercings… so im not in the least someone who steriotypes.

…im just saying. I don’t know if your going for the “emo” look or whatever… but goth/emo/punk/whatever is all about expressing yourself and celebrating individuality… lol well… I’ve never seen more “individuals” with facial piercings, a lot of eye makeup, and black hair.

do something different. lol

Answer #7

oh man, id be in tons of trouble, and my mom knows how to get to me, so I wouldnt do that :/ shes pretty set in the “no” lol, but hmm, maybe I shouldnt bring it up for a while, and then bring it up again

Answer #8

just be really like, breezy about it, and be all like ‘well its just dye, and its not extreme, and its not like im getting a tattoo or anything…’ Lol, or if she still wont let you then maybe ask if you can dye it with like a 6 week wash-out?
