Who actually uses a condom and the pill?

I always hear people say to use both the condom and another form of birth control as advice when someone asks how to protect themselves during sex, however I am curious is there anyone on here that religiously uses both?

Answer #1

That really depends…if it is a casual partner then you should…

The pill will protect you from getting prego…but not protect against other things like STD’s and other unfriendly viruses/sexually transmitted diseases like HIV/AIDS….Genital Warts… Gonorrhea…Syphilis…Herpes…Chlamydia…Pubic Lice or Crabs…Vaginitis…Hepatitis(still think only pills are enough?! I wouldnt even take the chance…no sexual encounter is worth sacrificing your life for that kind of pleasure, or shall i say curse!!!)

Now if you have a steady partner that you can trust(not that i know many guys that ya can…after my ex-husband’s infidelity) who is & will stay faithful to only you…then you dont need the condoms…just the pills to prevent getting prego if it is not the right time for you!

Answer #2

People who don’t want to get pregnant, or find themselves with nasty STDs.

Answer #3

I know that. I actually meant personally. more like a survey. but thanks for your answer in any ways.

Answer #4

that is not what I meant. I meant who actually uses it. I always hear people say that you should use both, but was wondering whether they actually do use it or are just saying it.

Answer #5

I do

Answer #6

My ex and I used condoms. I was going to go on the pill too.

Answer #7

no prob..

Answer #8

I used to……I still got pregnant. :( I just use birth control now since I’m only with one steady partner.

Answer #9

I personally only use the pill, the relationship that i’m in is fully monogamous and we have both been tested so std’s aren’t something were worried about. I’m nearly 20 and if the pill happens to fail were in a position where bringing a child into the world wouldn’t be a problem.

Answer #10

me too! all the pill does is thicken the mucus in ur uterus. u need both to be safe…

Answer #11

Its safer to. Condoms can break. and The Pill sometimes doesnt work.

Answer #12

The pill also stops ovulation. But yes you are right, both is safer.

Answer #13

Its probably a good idea unless you’re trying to get pregnant- also there are a lot of desease running around. I dunno better safe than sorry, some mistakes are not worth making
