What is a comfortable way to sit or lay down with really bad period pain?

One day of my period is really, really sore and i find sleeping soo painfull. So any advice?? Please help :(

Answer #1

I always find sleeping on my side helps a lot compared to on my tummy or back. I think cause it stretches all that area. when sitting down it cramps it up wear as laying on the side allows it to stay the same so doesn’t hurt as much

Answer #2

Do not curl up in a ball. That may seem like the best way but it just makes it hurt more. Lay straight on ur back or stomach. Try taking a nice hot bath and relax in there

Answer #3

you could also try putting a pillow on your stomach…that use to help with my periods and when i had a c section 5 weeks ago it helped soo much! so try putting a pillow on your tummy and put slight pressure on it..it helps..and also something warm like a bath or a heating pad..it eases the pain too..

Answer #4

Elevate your pelvic area about 6 inches, lying on your back with your feet up for a while. Ibuprofen helps a lot too.

Answer #5

Def take Ibuprofen! I always lay on my side, with my knees to my chest. I also heard if you cross your arms over your stomach it’s suppose to help..

Answer #6

I find it best to sleep on my back with my legs curled up together on a side. Hope this helps x
