Clingy boyfriend

me and my boyfriend have been going out for a month, im 17 and hes 19 we are on the same course at college, ever since we started going out he is always with me 24/7 I have to tell him “im going to go to the toilet” and still he waits right outside the door,

He dosnt like me talking or spending time with the others on the course either, and when we are in class I cant do my work, he moves his chair so close into mine that I cant work, and if im trying to do some work online he has my hand so I cant type,

I think you know what to do, it’s just a matter of working up the courage to do it. Your university / college results could lay the foundation for your future and no one should be allowed to interfere with your education. You should talk to him and communicate your concerns to him. Unless you let him know that he is smothering you, then he won’t know that what he is doing is making you uncomfortable. Be gentle, and just let him know that you need a little bit of space so that you can focus on your academic work because you really need to pay attention and get good grades.

As for being around him all the time, just tell him you want time to yourself as well. Tell him that sometimes being away from him for a while makes you appreciate his company even more. I never stopped my ex-girlfriends from seeing friends (probably why they’re ‘ex’-girlfriends :P… Just kidding). Tell him you like to allocate separate time for yourself and your friends. If he can’t appreciate your need for breathing space - which from my understanding seems very important to you - then I would say he is unfit to be your boyfriend. Sometimes you need to stick up for yourself.

Your boyfriend probably has had some issues in his life, so he is just attached to you, he has to attach to someone. But he doesnt understand that people do need their own space. By not letting you talk to other people is a sign of, a persom wants to controll you. He just wants to hide that by probably being “lovey”. But to be with someone that is controlling could be quite dangerous. But, if you need sometime away.. Talk to him. Yall need to be seperate for awhile. But im still shocked he waits outside the bathroom.

wow! Dude is clingy. stick with him if u love him but tell him u need your space. u must be that beautiful for him to cling like the cling wrap, lol, but still, dude is way too clingy. He needs friends like u need friends. Idk who is more clingy tho; us guys or u girls, but Ik 1 thing 4 sure, dude is super clingy.
