How do you make clay that will harden when baked?

There’s alot of types of clay. Like paper clay for example. Paper clay hardens when just left in the sun. You have to buy those. You can’t really MAKE clay.. The type of clay that your art teacher gives you need a kiln to bake in. Takes a long time. Hope I helped :)

i kkinda mean something simple like…flour nd water. but i dunno what other stufff, other then salt, you need to use for it and what temperature and how long you need to bake it for…
