Chocolate rain?

This might sound stupid, but what is the meaning of the song “chocolate rain” by Tay Zonday? I’ve tried and tried to find out, out I cant.

Tay Zonday’s song in my opinion is about racism. And how people try to deny its existence in modern America. Some of the lyrics seem out of place but here are the first 4 stanzas:

Chocolate Rain Some stay dry and others feel the pain Chocolate Rain A baby born will die before the sin

Chocolate Rain The school books say it can’t be here again Chocolate Rain The prisons make you wonder where it went

Chocolate Rain Build a tent and say the world is dry Chocolate Rain Zoom the camera out and see the lie

Chocolate Rain Forecast to be falling yesterday Chocolate Rain Only in the past is what they say

I don’t know if Tay has ever said exactly what it means. In fact during a meeting at You Tube’s headquarters he stated that he wants “;;; to leave Chocolate Rain as a question … (and) … that is more powerful than a single meaning …” So feel free to bring your own interpretation to the table.
