If A cheats on B the entire time they're together, was it a real thing?

I’m watching this movie….Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist or something like that…and the guy is still totally stuck on is ex who it turns out cheated on him the entire 6 months they were together. So it sounds like they never really had a real relationship. Agree or disagree?

What if this was in real life? I’ve known people who have cheated on their “significant other” for most of the time they were together. They may stay true to the person for a few months but then they’d end up cheating again. Same person though was true from smart almost until the end of one relationship, so there’s proof that they are able to stay faithful if they really do care about the person.

A cheats because A cannot spill the same emotions B…there is no spark..A may care about B, but if A really cared for B…cheating would be a definite no no

Well there certainly was no real relationship there, or no real feeling. I’d say the illusion of a relationship was real enough for B.
