Is it cheaper to live on campus or off campus?

Usually it’s cheaper to live off campus especially if you rent a place with friends. I found that, usually the prices go up the closer the place is to campus though.

Depends on the campus. At my university it was tough to find food and board for less than a meal plan and dorm room. Some people managed it by living in a hovel and subsisting on raman noodles and boxed macaroni and cheese dinners. I even met homeless students who slept in the back seat of their car, showered at the gym, spent the time they weren’t in class hanging out at the library, and got their mail at a P.O. Box. Living this way is highly discouraged though.

After research I did for project it was def cheaper living off campus and esp if you could find people to live with you. The more people you find the less money you will have to pay cause it will be split between all of you.
