mandyloo, In the bible it says to obey the law and the law is that weed is illegal so there for you are breaking the law wich is a sin and as for drinking it says that you can drink as long as you dont get drunk but as I said im not perfect and yes I did get drunk a few times but im not proud of it and I dont do it any more because I am triing to do the right things.

Well it is hard to believe that there is this many people on here that think it is ok to break the law and go on sining as long as your not under your parents house I will pray for all of you and im not just saying that im really going to pray for you cause I think that you should do what is right no matter what im not perfect and I know people make mistakes but you should use your head and do what is right.

Also, he said that he does not smoke in his parents house or keep drugs in their house, so for you telling him he’s stupid for risking those things, is void. Well I’m 15 and I’ve been smoking weed since I was 10, and my mom let’s me smoke. But if I were you I would just go somewhere else to smoke it. I mean you said your almost 18 so I would just smoke somewhere else, if you’re parents don’t want you smoking at there house that sucks, but you should listen to them. Wow, you must be really stupid, go to church, clean up your act, give your life to God and stop doing illegal activities, your gonna get caught anyway, and even if you don’t your killing brain cells. Here is my suggestion, stop the drugs, go to school, get scholarships, get excellent grades (you have to do that to get scholarships), go to college, get a recession proof job afterwards and be responsible.

I think… whether they ask you to stop smoking weed, or to stop wearing your shoes on their new white carpet, you should have some respect for their request. Also, marijuana, is a plant, it is not mixed with anything, it is not made by humans, it was made by God, if that’s who you believe in. Right? Also, have you ever drank alcohol ma’am? Because if your saying weed is a sin, then alcohol must also be a sin because alcohol is actually a drug in it self. Dont believe me, look it up. It is a drug, it’s just a legal one. I think your parents dont understand, and weren’t quite sure how to handle this problem so they did what they thought was best. I understand how you smoke to have a chance to get away from life,because sometimes you just need to get away from all the problems. But I personally think that you should not let it be an addiction. You should try and find something else to keep you busy. Im not saying you should stop, you should still do it if you feel its necessary but dont let it be control you,because in the end,after a couple of hours of happiness, you are still stuck with your life and you are still you. Well, what you obviously do not realize, that your parents can be charged for allowing you to have weed, and if it is their house, or car, they can loose their property, you could go to juvie, if they have professional licenses they can loose them, and that is for starters. As for you, I do not know why you think you have no worries when smoking pot…that just proves you have a problem, especially when you say that you like to smoke a lot. Part of becoming an adult is learning how to face your problems, not ignore them because you are under the influence. Eventually, pot smoking not only changes the brain chemistry, it does and will affect your lungs. Long term pot smoking kills motivation in people, and just like drinking, people on pot do stupid things. Pot also slows reaction time, and can stay in your system for 6 weeks to 6 months; depending on your fat stores - and since your brain has a lot of fat, a lot of THC is stored there. Did you know that Bob Denver and George Harrison developed lung cancer from pot smoking? Pot has over 40 carcinogenic agents. THC also has been shown to promote memory loss and emotional addiction which very realisticaqlly makes this a gateway drug to harder drugs, because people used to being high are not satisfied with that high and want bigger and better highs. This material is not harmless, nor is it legal. If you want to be a pot head when you are an adult, then go for it, but do not expect your parents to bail you out of your problems. They really love you, other wise they would not have restricted you. Believe it or not, it is for your own good. You need to be in complete control of your mind in order to succeed. If you think otherwise, you are lying to yourself.

Your parents are upset because you are their child and weed is illegal. I am not saying I have anything against marijuana, but it is illegal and most parents dont want their children participating in illegal activities. They are just worried about you, that’s what parents do. You should stop for now while you are under their roof, especially if they are randomly drug testing you. Also, dont smoke in your parents house, that is completely disrespectful. Why not wait until you are 18 or have moved out, then you can do what you like. Your parents aren’t being mean or unfair, they are doing what they think is right for their child.

Their your parents though, that’s what you need to understand. When it comes to illegal activities, there is no reasoning with them. You say you are almost 18 right? I would just lay low for a while, and then move out, then you can do what you want. Do not smoke under their roof though, it’s disrespectful, and also it can cause a lot of problems for your parents if weed was caught in their house. amblessed I must say this though. That may be true for people with addictive personalities, but it’s not true for everyone. I have been in addictive disorder classes and alcoholics anonymous classes, both for myself and for other people. They say all the time that most people can drink, try drugs, smoke marijuana, etc., and put it down just as easily. The only way that you get addicted is if you have an addictive personality to begin with. It is a disease, that not everyone has. That’s like saying that every person who has a drink every now and then is an alcoholic, which is not true in any way. Also, alcohol is way more addictive than marijuana, if you dont beleive me, do some more research, and alocohol is legal and you dont see people giving other’s a hard time for drinking occasionaly now do you.
