Cat neutering

I have a male cat that has been neutered. all of a sudden he has starting spraying. I noticed that he was acting like he was, but he didn’t actually urinate. but lately I have noticed he has started spraying a little bit. this is when he is outside. there are neighbor cats around. I haven’t caught him doing it in the house yet, but we recently adopted a new kitten and I noticed he is acting like he is going to spray around her. sometimes urine comes out sometimes not. I thought that neutering stopped this behavior. is it possible for his little weebles to have grown back?

Answer #1

They don’t grow back if they are fully removed. It seems like he is just spraying as a sign of dominance. Cats will do this any time they feel threatened by something new being introduced into their surroundings. Sam

Answer #2

If they did grow back you should notice them. I had a cat that did this when I was growing up as well. As near as I could figure he was just marking territory. A lot of cats in the wild are alone until they find a mate, even then they mate and leave in a lot of cases.
