How can I bath my cat?

Ok so I have a cat that is about 3-4 years old and its is big heavy and fat im even afrid to pick it up and I havnt taken him a bath in maybe a year or less and even if I try he starts to scratch me when he gets close to the water so I was wondering is it for me not to take him a bath oh and by the way hes and outdoor cat and he only come inside when its cold and to eat and then leaves?

Cats clean themselves by licking their body.

Well if your cat scratches you, perhaps consider the wipes. Cats are usually good about keeping themselves clean. I give mine a bath because she stinks, but I dont think it is necessary.

u shouldnt give a cat a bath they will scratch you they cleab them selves and like it that way the more you give a cat a bath the more he’ll be scared Hope I helped

they have cat “bath” wipes, I have a really fat cat and I just sit over him so he cant escape and wipe him down
