Career Path: Psychologist or Dietitian?

I’m graduating high school this year and have got some university choices lined up but I’m still wondering which is a better career path to choose: Psychologist or Dietitian? I like both and they even let me help people like with the mind or nutrition and all but I’d just like to ask and know what you guys think I should take up.

Answer #1

Dietitian.

Obesity is HUGE (no pun intended) in north america. You will have a TON of business preparing diets for people. And also monitoring them.

Don’t think about getting a job. Instead think about how you can start your small dietitian business. You’ll make way more money and be independent that way.

Answer #2

Psychology is no ‘felt like it so did it’ kind of a field. It’s very deep and dense. Psychology has been a deep passion for me ever since I was 13. You will have to go in depths within yourself the mainstream doesn’t go into. Seriously. You should go for as Mr. Ericson Smith suggested, the diet industry. Because trust me, psychology is the kind of a field where if it invokes drive and passion in you, it’s the most interesting thing EVER but if it doesn’t - it will be disturbingly boring.

Answer #3

Just adding its difficult finding a job in psycology. Furthermore you can give advice over the internet, start a business etc. Lots of work for you that way.

Answer #4

Either courses have great pathways. Remember you can always change courses once your in university. You could always finish off either course, then do a 1 year teaching course, then BAM, youre a health/pe/psych/bio teacher. Its that easy
