Hi guys!
This is mostly a question about what career path to choose. I am debating becoming a LPN (Licensed Praticioners Nurse) or a RN (Registered Nurse). Currently, the LPN program last 1 year. The RN program is 2 years.
LPN do get paid less but are still hired with full benefits and pretty good money. And once you become a LPN, you can earn your RN degree online. The only thing is that at the community college here, there is a huge waiting list to get into the RN program, whereas the LPN program, you pass a test and get in.
So what do you guys think? I'm not a lazy person so I know if I become a LPN, I will continue to become a RN. Leave your opinions + advice! Thanks <3
I'd apply for the RN program. If you don't get in the program then go for the LPN, then upgrade to the RN later. This way at least you are doing something and getting paid for it.
Go for the LPN
At least that way, you can secure your place in the course and upgrade to the RN later.
You said you're going to RN anyway, do the 2 years and get it out of the way...I wish you the best !!
LPN, it's an easy decision lol :D Good Luck!!!
The LPN it makes the most sense
