Why does she care about me so much?

I told my teacher that someone was spreading rumors that I’m dating a 30 year old man (I’m 13 he told me he was 16 but ended up being 23) we talked before about how he was 16 and she told me to be careful around him. But then she said that I told her its a possibility he could be 23. She told me that I should break up with him and she was there for me if I needed advice. Then the next day I get called down to the school police officers office ( my heart was beating so fast) he asked me what was going on and I told him (at the time I didn’t think my teacher told i thought it was this other girl.) after that he asked for my bf’s # I said no i didnt want him to get in trouble but he said he’d tell my dad if i didnt ( my dad would kill him and dig his grave if he found out) so i just gave it to him. After this later in the day while i was in my teachers class she asked me if i talked to the officer i said yes. At that moment i knew she told. Then after school i was getting on the bus ( 5 mins after her class) and with tears in her eyes she said “ sorry its ok if you hate me but i care about you so much that i had to tell him. I’d be hurt if something happened to you.” Then i walked away ( i didn’t know what to do.) the next morning i asked to talk to her alone. I told her i didnt hate her. Then she said thanks. And that she was talking to her husband that night asking for advice and he said to tell the cops so she did. Then she said she watched the news for a missing child alert just in case. Also she asked me how the break up went i said fine. Then she gave me a hug and said she cared about me. So my question is why does she care about me if shes not related to me? Its not creepy of anything I’m just wondering who would really go out their way to protect me like that. Thanks for taking time to read i know its long.
