Can weather make my dog sick?

It’s was in the late 90’s for a while, then all of a sudden it’s freezing and windy-ish.

My 4 month old puppy stays in the house but he plays outside sometimes and now he’s sick.

Could it be from the weather change?

Can he still get parvo if he had his shots?

He won’t eat or drink anything, I have to force him to drink something. :(

Thanks for helping.

I agree with backbyter…it sounds more to me, like he got into something when he was outside. Watch for diarreah and/or vomiting. I’d varify the Pepcid with the Vet, before I gave it. They can have Pepto Bismol, however…I’d try feeding him a bland diet of boiled rice and hamberger or chicken for a couple of days to settle his guts…If he still won’t eat, he might have gotten something more toxic than a bland diet can cure. The Vet can give you Flagyl, to get rid of whatever is making him sick.

yes, it sounds as if the puppy may have eaten something although being that young with such a change in temp can and will affect some younger animals. it could very well just be a cold and if its drinking whether forced or not is a good sign. if it was really bad the dog would be refusing it altogether just keep a close eye on it and any sign of worsening condition get it to the vet immediatly for now though keep offering food and water but not too much at a time otherwise theyll get a tummy ache and refuse it from then on. also give it lots of love lay with it and let it no your there for it. animals need love to they DO have feelings. I wouldnt give it pepcid or any other kind of medication without a vets consent he could be allergic to anything really you never can tell

Thanks

I keep reading that you can give the dog Pepcid (10mg) tablets, to increase their appetite. Is that safe?
