How to make these desserts?

does anybody know how to make homemade chocolate covered pretzels, or homemade chocolate covered raisans. can you please help me thank you.

Answer #1

1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Melt chocolate and cream in double boiler over low heat, stirring constantly.
  2. Dip pretzels one at a time quickly to coat while mixture is still very warm. Place pretzels on wax paper to set and cool.

You can buy pretzels, but it is better if you make your own..so here is recipe for German (soft pretzels):

1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1 and a half cups lukewarm water
2 eggs, beaten
One half cup vegetable oil or melted margarine
5 to 6 cups flour
One quarter cup nonfat dry milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 beaten egg
coarse salt

* Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
* Lightly grease 2 large baking sheets.
* In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Blend in 2 eggs and oil (or margarine). Add the dry ingredients. Stir well.
* Make a soft, but not sticky, dough. Knead 5 minutes until dough is smooth.
* Roll pieces of dough into ropes about a half inch in diameter, and 18-24 inches long.
* Form into pretzels. - bend rope in middle and bring ends up an curve inward to form a heart shape - ends cross and pass over lower sides.
* Brush tops with beaten egg, and sprinkle with coarse salt.
* Bake 12-15 minutes.
* Makes 12-15 pretzels.

For chocolate covering use first recipe, but four times each ingredient amount as the soft pretzels are larger

You have to pick the kind of chocolate you want to use. Most people will say to use semi-sweet, but I personally like plain milk chocolate. You melt it until it is at a liquid stat, but still think. Then you use some kind of cooking tool (it’s up to you) to hold the pretzel or raisin with, you dip it completely under the chocolate and hold it for about 30 seconds, than take it out, don’t let the chocolate drip, and let it sit for a couple of hours. Some people might say that you should freeze them, but it is really up to you.
