Can my dog get pregnant if she is still bleeding a little

My chi has been bleeding for 10 days on tues and I am trying for the 1st tie then. Bleeding has slowed a lot and a pink color. Today when I touch the base of her tail she moves it over. She could have been bleeding a couple days before I noticed. She is very swollen and she I did not notice blood till about 4 days into swelling. I just don’t want to miss the heat but I don’t want her to be aggressive to the stud their first meeting if she is not ready. We walked her today and a male litle dog came running out and tried to mount she stood and moved tail we of course grabed her right up before it went any further.

Hi there! Seeing as this is not an emergency I would suggest you go the profile of. Magichalo1–she is a breeder and is online at least once a day. No one from the For the Love of Our Dog group is online now (except for me, and I can’t answer your question unfortunately) so if you leave her a question she would get back with you probably tomorrow. I will leave a note in the group that you will be contacting her so that she knows to look for your question or funmail. Wish I could help you tonight, but for now that’s the best I can do. Good luck! (=

when the female backs up and moves are tail and ‘allows” the male to mount her then yes she is ready, Sounds to me like she would have excepted him

also the heat is 3 weeks long. look up and read about heat cycle for female dogs. but moving the tail to the side and backing up is a sure sign she is ready

This dog is ready to breed right now. There is a window and she is doing what Breeders call Flagging. When the bleeding slows and she goes into this stage she is perfect for breeding. BUT nothing is a for sure with Mother Nature.

Some dogs are more eager to breed than others. But this girl is telling you she is ready. Another thing that show she is ready is if you take a paper towel and gently flick her on her vulva it will tilt up. She is ready to conceive.
