can I be a nurse with a felony

I was wondering if anyone has had to take a background check to get into nursing school. I want to start nursing school next semester but I have a felony and dont know how I am going to pass the criminal background check in california. does anyone know what I can do. thank you

went through nursing school in sc passed got into drugs failed out I still have my degree not license can not have felony in my tri state

no you cant i am in nursing school and a fellow student got a dui and had to quit immediately they do backround checks and fbi checks and child abuse history as well as a fingerprint history through fbi they tell you day one and you have to pass drug tests all the time on random screen i am very sorry the most you may be able to do is a cna thats a certified nurses aid sometimes you can get in a medical assistant program or a pharmacy tech or a radiology tech program but absolutely not nursing sorry to be the one to have to tell you but thats the way it is.
