Can friends with benefits turn into a relationship?

So I have a friend with benefits, and I am starting to have feelings for him. Has anyone ever had experience where they had a friends with benefits that turned into a relationship? Should I tell him how I feel? Even though he probably only wants a physical relationship, I’m just wondering if there is hope for something much deeper..

Ok. I’ve gone through the whole friends with benefits thing but only with someone who I already considered close to me. I really liked her more than the physical part but I nvr told her until recently. But now I have a girlfriend who I love and the friend is and has been my best friend since we were kids. There is hope for a deeper relationship depending on how much you like him and he likes you. (other than physically.)

It could happen, but most likely he doesn’t respect you in any huge way, if you’re giving your body over for his play thing.
