health class*
Not in most places. Examples: Where is the child while the parent is working? Diapers and formula are going to chew up much of your paycheck. How are you paying rent? Utilities? Doctor bills? (Children have lots of health issues!) How about a car to get to your job? And what if it breaks down? And a single parent will be sleep deprived for months with no one to take turns with.
These questions do have answers (most involve the grandparents), but they are ALL going to happen. It is rough for a couple with a half descent wage to raise kids. Your scenario is going to be worse.
If this is for your health class, I suggest you look up some facts and figures. I did this in my sociology class, and two parents working on minimum wage couldnt cut it with the figures we worked out, let alone a single parent.
doesn't really matter... people without jobs have children. Its called welfare.
