Can a Felon Become a Doctor? I was in college in the beginning of my senior year finishing up my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Pre-Med when I was caught committing a white collar felony. My GPA is 3.8 and I have excelled in science. I am ready for my MCAT and med school, but before wasting my time and money I would need to know if a Felon Become a Licensed US Doctor? Any help especially in NY, NJ, and Florida?
Ummm, why not contact the licensing board in those states and ask them? This is a huge step and undertaking, don’t count on advice from a website, go to the people who would either license or not license you and ask them directly. They probably have that infomation available on their website. Here is some information on NY http://www.op.nysed.gov/article131-a.htm
You could try seeing if there’s a way your record could be expunged (is that right sp?)
