Calculating my boyfriend's time in an Illinois jail...

My boyfriend has been in jail since mid May 2009 and on Oct 2009 he was given an offer of 4yrs and 1 yr probation when released if he pleaded guilty to possession of controlled substance (a user I guess) so he took the offer and pleaded guilty. My question is will he get 6 month good credit along with the 4.5 months hes already been there, so a total of 10.5 months? Or how do I calculate? How long will he have to do technically? Is PCS considered a violent crime? Pls help. Ty.

Don’t know what PCS is but I do know that in Illinois a 4 year sentence is 1 year and 9 months, less the 4.5 months already served in the county and because his crime is non violence, he may actually qualify for work release. A best estimate would be around 15 mos. Hope it helps.
