What can I do to make sure my cake will be easier to come out of the pan?

I will be making a two layer cake, one vanilla and one chocolate, in a square pan. It’s always hard getting it out, most the times it gets stuck and I end up breaking the cake. I usually grease the pan before putting it in. Is there any way to make it easier to come out?

What about those food plastic things. So it doesn’t get stuck? Not sure the name but I hear if you cover the bottom with plastic wrap and put the cake over i. Think it can work… but don’t trust me my advice don’t work sometimes. Lool

Answer #2

Do you mean after baking? :O or Before baking, won’t plastic wrap melt?

Answer #3

I dont think what i said up there would work but if you would GREASE the bottom before putting it in. That what my mom does :D

Answer #4

Wipe butter all over the inside of the pan then plain flour over that. Garunteed no sticking!

Answer #5

I’m sure they sell silicon(?) cake baking pans….I have one and it’s quite easy to get the cake to slide out

Answer #6

OHMYF.uck i feel dumb !! LOLO u already said u tried greasing it. GAHH.

Answer #7

I either use the silicone cake pans or when usein a regular cake pan I just spray it evenly with Crisco canola oil spray

Answer #8

I usually grease my pans and then throw in a handful of flour and shake/turn it until all the grease is covered with flour. Then I put the dough in.

When you take it out of the oven and you think it might stick to the pan, you can cut along the side - between pan and cake before taking it out of the pan.

I use a springform pan, where you can remove the sides. Then I can also make a cut with a long knife to remove the cake from the bottom of the pan. http://funadvice.com/r/15rb5q24ek6

Answer #10

Answer #11

Answer #12

put some butter

Answer #13

Grease the pan then line the bottom with parchment paper … it’s how I was trained years ago when I trained to become a pastry chef and it’s never failed me.

Answer #14

Please don’t put plastic wrap in a baking pan - it may not melt, but it will give off toxins that are released by the heat.
