Which is better to buy - a regular laptop or a Macbook, and what are the differences?

A laptop uses portable PC hardware, making it much cheaper and easier to upgrade in the future. A Mac on the other hand, uses its own proprietary hardware that hardly anyone sells in stores so if you want to upgrade, pay the $100 service fee (not sure if it’s still that price) on top of the price of the hardware you want.

Software wise, PC trumps Mac in that department as most developers find it cheaper and easier to code for PC. Both, and I repeat, BOTH get the same amount of viruses. A lot of people bought into the Mac ad about how “My Mac doesn’t get PC viruses” as not getting ANY viruses. There are Mac viruses and in fact, Mac’s lack of security makes it, and has made it one of the easiest systems to hack as proven in various hacking competitions and virus threats.

To be frank, people who buy Macs are only paying for the Apple logo. A PC laptop uses the same CPU, GPU, RAM, and HAS physically, the only difference is the coding inside them and the operating system installed.
