Okay, so I'm moving this coming September to an apartment in Hartland and my school is in Sussex...its 11.2 miles to drive 5 days a week and I have a 1999 pontiac sunfire gt. So, lets say I find a job in hartland thats super close so I don't waste MORE gas driving to another town to work haha...how often will I need to buy gas? Right now I live like 7 minutes from school and fill up every week and a half/2 weeks. ish. and have no job; well i work for my parents for gas money (i'm the maid..yay..) anywho, help please?
uhm... ok well with my 1.4 engine and 'normal' driving i get around 100km/5L of diesel (1 2/3 gallon ?)
seems the pontiac is a 2.4, and according to spec's it has a 57L fuel tank so if you do 11 miles (~18 KM) every day so thats 90 KM in 5 days you do for around 28.5 L if fuel, ok being a bit more realistic we'll drop it down to around 21, which is still quite a lot nowadays
either get a fuel efficient vehicle (1.0 -1.4 or 1000cc-1400cc) or walk to school oh and if you're wondering drove for 750KM with 20 dollars worth of gas a month ago lawl, thats quite a bit :D
well in theory if you only drive to and from school about every 2.5 weeks (I did the math I'm not going to walk you thru it) but that's driving normally almost grandma ish. if you drive it like a GT should be drove then your fuel economy drops and your getting gas every 1.6 weeks. so moral of the story. drive like a granny to save money.
Well it all depends on the size of the gas tank, that goes for every car, truck, and van out there. From an estimated guess, I would have to say $20 - 30 worth of gas to keep you filled for at least 3 days.
for home purpose means in India we use to get a gas tank per month once . . .
