Can you bruise a muscle without bruising your skin ?

I went tubing a few days ago and yesterday . Sometimes id the water with my legs really hard and afterwards it really hurt . There was no red marks or bruising . It hurts to touch my legs but it doesn’t hurt to walk anymore .

oh yeah most def! matter of fact i have one right now on my left calf muscle. i get hacked alot when playing soccer so sometimes i have had muscle pain where there is no scar or bruising or even swelling. icing it will help.

It can happen but I hate if either happens.

You can’t actually bruise your skin. Bruising is internal bleeding and our skin is external. You skin is effected by the bruise underneath for reasons that would take several paragraphs to explain.
