Why was Brooks, from Shawshank Redemption, sentenced to jail?
I love this movie but I was just recently thinking about it and I had forgotten the reason why Brooks (the librarian) got sent to jail for. I remember that it was for like half of his life and that was the reason why he was upset that the warden gave him a release form.

I don’t think it tells why he was put in jail. He was there for fifty years though so it must have been merder or something just as bad. It seems that most of the people in Shawshank were in there for merder as well. (yes I know how to spell that but it won’t let me say that)
oh okay. I was wondering why they hadn’t paroled him after such long time for good behavior or something. I guess 50 years does change a man. Anyways thanks :)
