Hello there. =] From what I have heard, it is normal to have breast tenderness around the normal time of your period, If you did not have a total hysterectomy (meaning you still have one or both of your ovaries.)

I would defiantly suggest visiting your doctor on this one. It can be something serious, cancer, cysts, fibroid tumors, etc….He will be able to diagnose you better that me. It could go away on its own or stop when you go through menopause. There is a cream that you can try, the doctor may even tell you about it. It’s called Primrose cream, it should help a bit with the breast pain. =] Good luck hun, you really should talk to your doctor about this.

We’d be lucky if breast cancer actually caused pain, unfortunately, it doesn’t so many cases aren’t caught till too late. You’re in your perimenapausal time…hormones are getting whacky…up and down. Talk to your Dr. about the pain, they may start you on Premerin or another replacement hormone, while going thru this phase before true menopause kicks in.
