What is break horse power in a car?

how does the size of a car engine eg. 2L engine, make the car better? is more miles per gallon better or worse? what does a turbo charged engine have different?

Break horsepower, aka pure horsepower, is the actual horsepower the engine can produce alone without any added “load” on the engine such as the weight of the vehicle its moving and any other accessories the engine is also powering. Fuel economy depends on a number of factors, too many to list here but just one example is the right size engine for the load it’s expected to be under. For example, in an under powered car, the engine may have to work harder and use more fuel, and many other factors, something you may want to look up to learn more. A turbo charger forces more compressed air and fuel into the engine for high performance, but is not an economical option when it comes to gas miliage.
