Braided pig tails at the lower part of your scalp, you could do all small braids and go for a dreads type of look, leave your hair down and put small braids throughout it, put your hair up and have certain sections braided, wear a ponytail and brad the hair that sticks out of the ponytail, do a loose beach type braid in the back of your hair with pieces that fall around your face.
There is a braid called a fish tail and it looks really cool. To learn how to do it, you should look it up on YouTube.

have you ever seen a fishtail braid, they take a little more time then your conventional plait to do but i think they’re very stylish, and have that little extra edge then an average braid. . . they’re also wonderful if yo’re having a bad hair day
