Do braces hurt or make your jaw sore?

Answer #1

Uhh the first 3 days its hard to eat…. & It doesnt really hurt its just really tigth for the first week (:

Answer #2

They can because they are moving your teeth the way your teeth align when you smile can differ from the previous way you did. Your jaw isnt used to it so it can be sore but it will ease up slowly as your jaw gets used to the new alignment of youre teeth. hopefully this wasnt confusing.

Answer #3

your teeth*

Answer #4

yep, just when you get it on for the first time, and when you get your wires changed. mine hurt so bad i actually cried, and panadol does stuff all. it can also depend on how messed up your teeth are too,

Answer #5

Braces haven’t hurt me one bit, spacers were WAY worse then the braces themselves and yes they can make your jaw hurt, especially when you get rubber bands which are there to help realign your jaw.

Answer #6

They hurt from day one until I had them taken off. Never stopped hurting.

Answer #7

that sucks!!

Answer #8

They hurt for about 3-5 days and by hurt i mean you feel pressure and it hurts to bite your teeth together >.< From those 5 days and on they dont hurt as much but you still cant eat really hard foods and from that month and on you wont even feel them :) Remember you’ll have a beautiful smile, so it will all pay off.

Answer #9
