Is it bad to only have bowel movements 1-2 times a month?

Kinda embarressed to ask about this on here but theres nothing wrong with it so whatever I guess lol we’ll move on from the goofy part hopefully. Anyways, this has gone on for like 2 - 3 years. My mom knows about it, but never really puts thought into it. I don’t either, but I’m getting curious now. I have these months where I’ll barley eat, & I’ll have months where I’ll eat normally, yet it’s still the same.

You need to seek further help if your mother isnt doing much about it, you should go to the loo 3 times a week maybe not per month.

Your supposed to go at least once a day. I dont always. but always twice or more a week. Mayeb its ur diet. Eat more leafy greans and healthier foods. Try eating that yogurt that helps your digestive system. Called Activia. Need more fiber. There are fiber drinks. I know when i drink coffee it always makes me go. Try that. And see a doc.

I only go like once a week which isn’t as serious, but everyone tells me it’s “unhealthy”. I never really have pains or anything, so personally I wouldn’t be too worried about it. It definitey isn’t “normal” though and if your worried or curious you should go see a doctor. :)

Yes it is very bad, Your suppose to have one every 2 days at least to get the toxins out of your body. The longer you don’t go to the bathroom The fecal toxins are absorbed back into your bloodstream, weakening your immune system. Or it can get backed up where it just keeps piling up and won’t be able to come out. Yes, it is bad. You should go once every 1 or 2 days. I would try MiraLax. It’s a powder in a purple bottle that you put in a drink and take it that way. It has no taste, it doesn’t hurt, and it REALLY helps. Introduce more fruits and vegetables in your diet (especially ones that are high in fiber). Eat regularly, and take out things with less sugar/have them less often

Drink water, lots of water! Try eating mango or fruits too. That’s really bad… If you only poop once a day you have 4 pounds of poop in your body, so…. You must be pretty backed up. You need to poop, girl!
