How is it possible to tell apart a blue cat from a grey cat?

Answer #1

Interesting question u stumped me thr lol

Answer #2

It’s the same thing…all “grey-coloured” cats are considered “blue”.

Answer #3

Interesting, I will have to remember that :-)

Answer #4

Of course…there’s the exception to “Smokes” which is more prevalent in Himalayas, etc…they have a visibly lighter colour of grey that is not considered “blue”

Answer #5

I understand thx

Answer #6

one of my DS has russian blue lines and u can see a tinge of blue when he hits the light as for my other cat idk weither u’d call her blue or grey. But i thought Blue cats and dogs had blueish skin and grey cats usually hat normal skin toned skin

Answer #7

No…grey cats are “blue”…it has nothing to do with their skin. My Blue Russian has pale white skin just like the rest of my lighter coloured cats

Answer #8

I swear the blue coloured cats have this hint of blue in light, while grey cats are perminently grey..

Answer #9

ok, if so then why do they have 2 colours then? So russuian blues should not really be called blue, and blue merle animals should be called grey merel right?
