Black stool after whelping
Is this normal? This is my m-I-laws dog, it is her 2nd litter, I don’t remember her having black sttol the day after whelping?? Any suggestions??
Oh yes it is very normal. She ate the after birth from the puppies and it is filled with the blood that fed the puppies.
She will have a few black stools as this works out of her system. If she is in the house, make sure she can’t get on the carpet because it will really stain.
