If your a man and you get oral sex can you get an sti from the woman sucking you of and if so can you prevent this?

Answer #1

It is highly unlightly you would get HIV from contact with saliva alone, so insertive oral sex (that is a man receiving oral sex) is not a high risk when it comes to HIV’s.

The only way insertive oral sex could present some risk from HIV’s is if your sex partner had sufficient amounts of blood in her mouth.

However, you can get other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) from insertive oral sex.

The STD’s you can get through oral sex include:

gonorrhea,

herpes,

chlamydia,

syphilis ,

non-gonococcal urethritis (NGU).

If you are sexually active especially if you don’t have a committed partner, you should probably get screened at least once a year for STDs.

Many STDs do not have symptoms and can go unnoticed. Talk to your doctor about screening for STDs, or, if you are uncomfortable talking with him or her, you can go to a city or county STD clinic.

Hope the above is useful.
