Bikini area/upper legs rash.. HELP?

Ok, so this is kind of emberassing, but maybe someone can give me some advice.

Ok, so I live on a tropical island, but I’m too scared to wear a bikini, I always wear a boardshort over the bikini. The reason why I do that is because I have some kind of rash on my upperlegs.. I don’t really know how to explain it, I’m Dutch so yeah. Its like right next to my pubic hair you could say..so whenever I wear a bikini you can see my skin is all red with some kind of red spots/pimples there. Maybe it’s because I do remove my hair down there something.. sometimes I shave or I use Veet. I heard that if you do that your hair can grow like in your skin and then it can get irritated? I don’t know. Im sorry I couldn’t explain it any better!

I just found a picture of a model wearing a bikini, I cropped it and I draw on it so you can see WHICH area I mean.. Look in my Pictures! I have no clue how to add the pic to this question..it just wont go! So I uploaded into my photos.. its called “rash” So THAT area is the area thats all reddish on my body..it has like red spots/pimples and it looks nasty. Its been like this for a couple of monthts now. SOme help??

It sounds like razor burn or an allergic reaction.

Ingrown hairs grow in the skin because they grow at an acute angle; usually they’re from shaving in the opposite direction of the hair growth. You can avoid them by applying heat to the skin (like shaving while in the shower, or using damp cloths).
