Answer #1

22When the daughter of Herodias came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his dinner guests.

The king said to the girl, “Ask me for anything you want, and I’ll give it to you.” 23And he promised her with an oath, “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.”

24She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?”

"The head of John the Baptist," she answered.

25At once the girl hurried in to the king with the request: “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter.”

26The king was greatly distressed, but because of his oaths and his dinner guests, he did not want to refuse her. 27So he immediately sent an executioner with orders to bring John’s head. The man went, beheaded John in the prison, 28and brought back his head on a platter. He presented it to the girl, and she gave it to her mother. 29On hearing of this, John’s disciples came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.

REMEMBER KIDS – DANCING IS EVIL AND LEADS TO PROPHETS BEING BEHEADED. DO NOT DANCE!

Answer #2

The bible also says that David danced before the Lord, with all his might, and that was not evil. It was a very pure form or worship. David was dancing for joy, he did not have lust on his mind, he had God on his mind. Just as music can be used for evil, so can dancing, or most anything else, for that matter. It matters what is going on in the heart. This girl had seduction on her mind, and she danced in such a way, as to incite the lust of the King. This was a willful act on her part, with an evil intent in mind. She hated John the Baptist, because he had clearly said that her mother, was wrong to marry the King, as she already had a husband. This made the mother extremely angry, to be told that she was living in sin, and she determined to have the prophets head for saying this. She did not mind using her daughters body to get what she wanted, thru sexual persuation, which is the same thing as witchcraft, and is condemned. This is in complete contrast to the dance that David did, or the one that Miriam, the sister of Moses did, when they crossed the Red Sea, on dry land, neither of these dances were evil, but, the first one was.
