Are there any treatment centers for depression in S. Fl?

I have just been diagnosed with bipolar 2 and have had depression for 30 yearsl. I only started medication for the biopolar 6 months ago and what an improvement. I’m not on litium i’m on carbamazapine, so i haven’t got it as severe as your daughter. I’m now going through some medication change where i’m reducing my anti depressants and increasing my mood swing medication to try and reduce my highs.

My family have seen such an improvement in me and i now recognise when i am having an episode. I can now explain all those times over the past years when i had unexplained behaviour, though i hate it when i do get an episode because there is nothing i can do about it. But at least i’m conscious of it and do my best to put myself in a situation where it won’t affect others too much. They now all know why i’m like what i am when i’m having one of my funny moments.

There may be a period of time where your daughter will be tried out on different medications untill they find out what suits her best, but try contacting a bi polar support group. They are the experts on this and can give the best advice but i’m here if you need to private message me.
