Is my beta sick or maybe pregnant?

My betta fish, Mr. Betta is a girl, I just found this out. I got her about 2 months ago. She used to eat a butt load of food. haha. but now its like all she eats is two pieces of the pinch. Why? I am kinda scared because, is she sick or pregnant? There is no male so I dont think she can be pregnant, but its just a scare ! Please help me. :)

You betta can’t be pregnant, the male needs to squeeze the eggs out of her and the male raises the babies not the female. She could just have gotten picky, lots of betta won’t touch pellet food, try buying freeze dried blood worms (around the same price as betta flakes or pellets). They like this much better and its much more nutritious and easier for them to eat.

I used to have 2 beta fish, not together obviously cause they’d kill each other & they both lived for atleast a year. but I have heard that they don’t live long. She might be sick, but who knows. Umm, it might be the water you are puttin her in. Oh & make sure to not put her in direct sunlight (like by a window) cause it’ll kill her.
