Well you could try this. When you get out of the shower untangle your hair Pull it back in a tight twisted bun Hairspary it Dry it with a blow dryer Let it down That should work because my little sister does it all the time and it really works =]

Answer #2

go to youtube.com and type in JOHNNY LAVOY BEACH CURLS in the serach thing, and only ONE video comes up. click on that, and you will see how to do it, it’s great. and NO you don’t have to crunch your hair with gel and make it all…crispy and gros, johnny lavoy’s version is much better

this is going to sound like a lot of work but trust me it works..

  1. wake up and take a shower
  2. let your hair towel dry for no longer than a minute
  3. put gel in your hair( I suggest herbal essences totally twisted curl scrunching gel) but not on your roots, only on the bottom and lightly, make sure it’s not too heavy.
  4. grab at your hair pushing it up and kinda twisting it everywich way..try maybe shaking your head upside down..
  5. when your done with all that hair spray it with a heavy holding spray(I suggest anything fructis or aussie)

or just curl it with a really big curling iron, it may take a while but it’s welly worth it.

I have medium/long hair and what I do to get that beachy “effortless” wavy look is -Shower -Pat dry excess water, dont ever shake your hair in the towel, that is terrrible for your hair -Gently brush it out -Run, I use Pantene ProV Texture Moussing foam wax (find it at drugstore.com or walmart for like, $7) through damp hair (dont apply at roots and not too much it’ll weigh your hair down, this is experience talking) -Use a blow dryer to warm up your hair and dry it to the point where its ALMOST dry, still a little damp -Then braid it into a french braid starting at about the top of your ears’ level maybe a little higher for more dramatics -Finish blow drying it in this braid, if you have to, loosen it a little to get the air to all of your hair evenly. Until it is completely dry. -Let your hair cool while still in its braid OR switch to the cool setting on your blow dryer and blow cool air to set it. -Once its cooled off release the braid and take a large barrel (2”) curling iron and spiral curl any extra locks you might see that you want to be more pronounced. -Hair spray all over for extra hold and voila! Hel-lo Gisele Bundchen -TIP!! For extra lift at the crown I use Tresseme Volumizing spray (Amazon.com $3.79 or walmart, walgreens, drugstores, etc)on my roots before I braid it and dry to dampness. If you have to, back comb it a little bit at the crown for that little extra This usually takes me about 30 to 45 minutes, I know that’s some time right there but if you’re late for the party at least your hair looks great!

yeah, my hair is still wet in the mornings if I twist it up when its not dry, thick and long hair takes more effort but looks better. It falls within an hour if its not dry. Taking the time and the steps to do it right makes it last all day and night, plus it’s quality not like an attempt at it.

Answer #6

three prongd curling iron it makes your hair sooo pretty I’ve had one for a couple months and I do it all the time to my hair!!

Answer #7

It may make your hair greasy.. Try not to put so much of it on the roots of your hair. Try sleeping with 2 plaits in your hair =]

Answer #9

take a shower and then let your hair towel dry for about a minute and then put it in two twisty buns on top of each other and then sleep on it for the night and then take it down and you should be good to go!! you dont have to do all that junk!!

Answer #10

That Johnny Lavoy video is good but it doesn’t really work on thick hair.. Luckily I was born with naturally wavy hair.. it is a taad annoying sometimes but Yehh =]

Try the Johnny Lavoy method on your hair and see if it works.. it’s pretty good =]
