What are some methods to stop dog barking next to our bedroom window

Get his attention and when he looks at you, say, “No.” Don’t yell or anything. Just make him see that it’s NOT okay. If he still does it. Open the door and say, “Out.” And MAKE him go out.

keep a spray bottle nearby with really cold water, or something sour like lemon juice or vinegar (whatever dogs don’t like, I don’t know) and open the window and spray, and speak stern to the dog while you do it. so the dogs knows that he/she shouldn’t be there

Talk to the owner… if it is after 10 pm, in most cities that is when the “noise ordinence” kicks in- check with your local police department. There may be something they can do about it. Also, your local humane society or animal control can help too- enough complaints about unattended pets and they’ll take the dog. Also talk to your homeowner’s association- they sometimes have the MOST power to quiet barking dogs… Are you getting that I’ve had problems with this too, lol? We found our most effective way to quiet our drunken neighbor’s 6 (yes, 6!!) pomeranians was to threaten him with calling the police. His stupid dogs were waking me and my newborn up nightly.
