Baby diet and food

My baby is 16 month old, still he is not taking bottle feed or cow milk he is taking only mother’s feed. I am so worried about him, his diet, I am giving him all type of foods, cereal, rice and fruits and whatever we make in daily and take in lunch, dinner. But I am confused about his proper diet and routine, how many times he should take food? Or what timings between 2 diet? Please let me know what should routine of this agegroup of baby from morning to evening.

Answer #1

honestly…I would give him one egg and a slice of toast with friut in the morning with juice or milk…then a snack in between if you wish..then for luch I would do a pb&j sandwhich with juice and a desert…and for dinner pizza or you can do meat with potatoes and a veggie that your baby likes…and give him or her water as much as you like instead of juices and milk..because too much will harm your baby…but you have your own instincts with your baby..as long as you think your baby eats enough and your baby id satisfied with YOUR routine…then dont worry about it..if you have further questions ask your baby’s pediatrician… this is what I have done with my children and I am pregnant now with my 4th, so I think you’ll be fine..all my kids are very healthy none over or underwieght…

Answer #3

A 16 month old should not be on a bottle anymore, nor should the baby be breastfeeding or on formula.

At that age he/she should have a proper diet and be eating a regular breakfast/lunch/dinner schedule, with small snacks in between each.

Answer #4

He should be eating the usual breakfast, lunch, dinner with snacks between meals and before bed.

Let him sit in his chair with the food in front of him and allow him to help himself (you’ll need to help a little, too, just to make sure he is actually eating some food and not wearing it all).

If he’s still drinking mother’s milk, that’s great - it’s very healthy for him, but by now his diet should also consist of regular foods for his age group.

Answer #5

He may not yet be ready to wean himself from breastfeeding. Baby-led weaning is natural for most babies.
