Attempted rape by my brother in law need help

hi everyone just last week my sisters husband tried to rape me. When my sister got married to him she moved him into our home and said they would only stay for a couple of months but its turned into over a year.Couple months after he moved in, he started making little sexual advances at me like touching my hips or trying to kiss me. I told my sister but she said he was just joking, but he still didnt stop.He has even comed on to my little sister.The day it happened,he would have fully raped me if my father had come home just a few minutes later.He only got to insert his fingers inside me.He also held a knife to my throat when my father started banging on the door. Since then its been really hard on my family.I find it hard to trust any man now, I cant see my self being with anyone at this point. Im not totally tramatized but my sister is making it hard for me because she doesnt think I should file charges on him. But everyone else tells me I should because he may try to do it again to me or someone else. I know my sister still loves him which I cant understand because to everyone else he is a nothing. How could she do this me this man is ruining our family and tearing me apart and she stills wants to be with him. Can somebody give me some advice.

omg im so sorry to hear that omg you have to put him in like jail yes you should hes a repist omg you have to you hve to talk to your sister tell her hes no good… ask your sister .. so what happends when you guys are older and have kids… hes gonna try to rape his daughter omg thats sick man … wow you should tell your sis to forget bout him im sorry im over reacting its just I hate it when I hear that a young girl gets raped I had it happen to me once and I now how you feel just give urslef some time :| just like send me funmail if you wanna talk private :)

Your brother-in-law sounds like scum. It would be difficult to get a conviction against him because there is no physical evidence and it would come down to your word against his. I don’t think there is strong enough a case to lock him up.

I would still go to the police and try to get a restraining order against him. Needless to say he should never be welcome in your house. You should probably avoid your sister as well while she is still with this jerk. If his opinion of women is low enough to be a rapist I can’t believe that he will be a good husband to your sister so it is time for some tough love.
