What do you think of Athletic Bilbao's policy of fielding Basque players only?
I think it’s very good, they’ve got promising players like Fernando Llorente, Javi Martinez and Iker Muniain, but if they had more creativity in their team they might even challenge Barca and Real’s dominance in Spanish football. To me, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, because it keeps the team stable because they all speak the same language, and they’ll have known each other for years, but what happens if Messi and Ronaldo were offered free to Athletic?
So what do you think of Athletic Bilbao’s policy of signing Basque only players?
