Anyone ever have to do physical therapy?

Has anyone had to go to physical therapy for anything? What did you have to go for and did it help you at all? I am currently on my 4th week of it for my knee, it hasn’t really helped me too much. I was just wondering if anyone else has gone and if it’s helped or not?

Answer #1

I went to physical therapy since I was ten because my hip would go out of place. It helped me so much before I had trouble walking and running and now im first line defense for my hockey team

Answer #2

I had physical therapy for a shoulder impingement. It seemed to help me. It was expensive because my health insurance didn’t pay all of it.

Answer #3

I go 2 times a week. It’s helped a little bit but nothing big. I was given exercises to do at home and I do those everyday.

my friend tore somethin in her knee snowboardin and it was really bad so she had to get surgery and the surgery caused her to have to stay home for a while and she couldnt do anything and she had to go to physical therapy to rebuild the muscle and learn to walk on it again bu they know what hurts and stuff and the know what you need. and it really does help

Answer #6

I’ve gone into physical therapy for my knee. It didn’t help too much but it did allay some of my fears: I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to use my knee in natural movements anymore, but the exercises they assigned me proved to me that I could, though it was a bit uncomfortable. As I progressed with my exercises, those movements got less and less uncomfortable. I think the reason why it didn’t help me, though, is because I didn’t exercise my knee enough… heh. If I was still in physical therapy, my knee would probably be so much better, but my insurance stopped paying for it so I couldn’t go anymore.

Answer #7

I personally havnt gone but I do see my patients attending it. how many times a week/month do you go? I see improvemnet in a lot of my patients I reccomend you do small gradual movements on your own at home that way your knee wont be stiff at home. No BIG TIME MOVEMENTS ! lol hope I help and hope you get well soon =}
