The Direct Action to Stop the War group will be protesting in San Francisco, CA tomorrow. They want to war to end. If you can be, will you be with them or annoyed by their behavior?

Answer #1

No-one enters a war with the intention of not winning - this outcome remains to be seen.

Answer #2

I compltetely agree wiuth what they are protesting *supporting that lot from scotland!! we need all our troops home

And wanting them home is not showing them any disrespect we jus want our loved ones home I have my fiance my 2 brothers my dad 3uncles and loads of friends out in iraq right now!!

I jus want them all home!!:(

Answer #3

This war is not about terrorists. It was and still is all about oil. This was just an excuse to start a war. Bush started it on his own w/out the consent of Congress. Bring our service people home. We need to protect the USA, let the other countries settle their own wars. Yes I agree w/them.

Answer #4

Amblessed, you think the outcome remains to be seen? What else could possibly be achieved, other than the oil revenue agreement bush wants. That is the one and only reason we are there.

How long will it take you people to wake up?

Answer #5

huh? How does protesting to end the war show disrespect for soldiers?

Answer #6

Piker, that is a false argument. We are not getting any significant oil out of Iraqw now, so what will change. And demonizing Iran is also not the answer. Iran and Iraq are still very different countries, but they have one thing in common. The average person in each counrty is realitively moderate and freindly to the west. Both countries have long histories of being friendly to western culture. Iran is run by the mullahs right now, but most iranians do not support them.

Iran is not the problem. But the bush administration would have you believe that, so they can start another war there.

Answer #7

Its all good to protest, I wouldn’t be with em though. im not sure if we should leave Iraq anymore. I use to think so, but oil is a national security issue. And I don’t think its the terrorits we’re afraid of if we leave, but Iran. We obliviated Iraqs defense, and Iran is just sitting back until we leave so they can march through, and if that happened. The U.S would be in a wold of sht, we are in some sht right now, but I guarantee it would be much worse. Because like it or not, we need a secure oil connection. Otherwise it would change our lives drastically, it just sucks that its taking American lives

Answer #8

A war protest doesn’t annoy me, it’s a freedom protected by the First Amendment. I agree less and less with war protesters these days, many of them are approaching this a little too fanatically for me. But they still have the right to do this.

Answer #9

I understand why they want the war to end!!! I would really like it to be over so my husband does not have to fight but sometimes they just get out of hand! Most of the time I think I end up annoyed by their behavior rather then wanting to stand beside them.

Answer #10

they have the right for free speech, which is part of what we are fighting for, so I will not be annoyed- I just won’t be supporting them, because I happen to disagree with what they are protesting. we need to hunt down any terrorists we can find- we need to maintain our overseas presence. we need to stay in iraq until the region stabilizes- and maintain a smaller force beyond that. tell the world that if we are fighting for a cause- we will not cut and run- we will be in your face until you are either dead- or you give up.
