If I’m correct, internet security comes with more firewall protection, and usually have a sort of parental control.

If you’re just worried about your computer not getting fried out, get an antivirus software.

Usually, anti-virus refers to standalone software that does only that.

Internet security software, also packaged as a suite normally has a firewall, anti-virus, and anti-malware.

If you’re on the internet a lot, you will want a suite, or all 3 separate units with a secondary anti-malware program. You can use free solutions or paid. Generally no one package from a vendor holds the top spots for long so you don’t have to have the absolute best, just good enough and use common sense.
