Am I going to be a Mom?

I’ve had my last period on Aug. 17.. then after 3 weeks, I started having brown/pink spotting which lasted for 5 days. The brown/pink spotting was on and off, it just never came heavy. Is this what u call implantation bleeding? I took a pregnancy test on Sat. (9/08) and it gave me a Negative result. Did I take the test too early?

Hi,

From what I understand, you cannot expect to get accurate pregnancy test results unless you take the test after you miss your period.

If you are still concerned about pregnancy after getting a negative, you should see your doctor. He or she can do a blood test which is more accurate.

Good luck.

There are early detection tests. Most test actually test correct sooner than they advertise, but there are false positives and negatives, the best way is to get tested at the doctor. More often than not they will not have to do a blood test. They will use the same type of test, they have you pee in a cup and either dip the stick in or take a sample and place it on the test.
